Political Geography Research Group (PolGRG)

The Political Geography Research Group (PolGRG) is pleased to welcome submissions for the undergraduate dissertation prize, open to students at UK universities. Eligible dissertations should fall within the broad scope of political geography and its sub-disciplines and must have been submitted as part of a BA or BSc degree during the 2024-25 academic year.

The successful prize winner will receive £100. Dissertations should demonstrate conceptual, methodological and empirical innovation across the broad spectrum of political geography and its related fields.

The panel is committed to promoting diversity and inclusion and, therefore, particularly welcomes submissions from universities outside the traditional 'elite' group, as well as from students from non-traditional or minority backgrounds.

The dissertations must be nominated by Heads of Department, Examination Boards, or dissertation supervisors, as appropriate. Each department may submit no more than one dissertation for consideration.

Please use this form to submit your student's dissertation for consideration for this prize. You will be asked to submit the dissertation itself via email to rhed@rgs.org

Deadline: 15 July.
