Tim is Director of Traveler Programs at Reach the World, a New York City-based global education non-profit that has been a pioneer in the use of virtual exchange programs for more than 20 years.
Tim collaborates with expeditions of all sizes to develop customized Education and Outreach virtual exchange programs that shine a spotlight on exciting fieldwork and careers in STEM for students ages 5-18. Through curricularly-aligned articles and livestream events, explorers and field scientists take students on expedition with them, inspiring the next generation of global citizens and promoting the explorer’s mindset.
As onboard Education and Outreach Coordinator for the Endurance22 Expedition earlier this year, Tim helped over 33,000 young students in 27 countries join the search for Sir Ernest Shackleton’s lost ship, Endurance, in the Weddell Sea off Antarctica.
