Nazrin is the Trails Manager for the Transcaucasian Trail (TCT) in Azerbaijan, where she leads efforts to scout and develop trail networks across the Greater Caucasus. She holds a Master’s in Eurasian Studies from Stanford University, where she explored the historical significance of the Caucasus through the movement along its mountain trails.
With the TCT, Nazrin engages with local communities to identify and adapt traditional migratory routes for recreational use, with the aim of advancing responsible outdoor recreation and driving economic diversification in rural areas. Previously, Nazrin managed Caucasus Conservation Corps (CCC) projects in Azerbaijan, which promote youth leadership in environmental conservation through cross-border exchanges and trail-development.
She and the TCT team are currently planning an expedition across Azerbaijan’s Greater Caucasus range, from the Caspian Sea to the Georgian border, piloting the initial TCT route across the country in 2026.
Nazrin is a member of Azerbaijan’s national ski mountaineering team, as well as an avid trail runner.
