Meagan serves as the Executive Director of the Transcaucasian Trail Association (TCTA), leading the development of the Transcaucasian Trail that winds through the stunning Caucasus Mountains of Armenia, Georgia, and Azerbaijan.

In addition to leading the TCTA’s strategy, development, and communications, Meagan has played a major on-the-ground role in scouting and designing the trail itself. She also spearheaded the TCT’s Caucasus Conservation Corps, a partnership with the US Forest Service to promote outdoor education, conservation, and trail development across the Caucasus.

Meagan is an avid hiker and trail runner, a former trail crew leader, and passionate about tackling the complexities of sustainable tourism development. Before joining the TCTA, she worked in development economics research at MIT's Poverty Action Lab. She studied economics and Russian at Middlebury College, which first sparked her obsession with the Caucasus.

She lives in beautiful Tbilisi, Georgia with her rescue dog, Mela, who followed her during a multi-day scouting expedition on the TCT.
