Lucy is a child and adult student nurse passionate about expedition medicine and connecting young people to nature for both personal and environmental health.
As the 2023 European (Rolex) Scholar for the Our World Underwater Society, Lucy combined her passion for the ocean with healthcare. With medical training in expedition and dive medicine, and as a qualified HSE commercial diver and instructor, she has explored tropical, temperate, and polar regions.
Gaining a deep understanding of the vital link between environmental and human well-being, Lucy is launching a project to use immersive underwater footage to bring the ocean to paediatric patients.
