Lucy Longbottom is a lifeboat crew member, mountain leader and F3 doctor at Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust, where she is starting a role as Clinical Fellow in Emergency Medicine with a specialist interest in expedition medicine, during which she is currently studying the International Diploma in Expedition and Wilderness Medicine run by the Royal College of Glasgow.
Lucy has previously done a fellowship with Endeavour Medical Fellow and now works as part of the Endeavor Medical Faculty teaching marine medicine courses in the UK and abroad.
Lucy is a very active and keen explorer, and her adventure highlights include hiking across Costa Rica, trekking through the Andes, swimming round islands in Philippines, and, closer to home, a recent cycle circumnavigating Cornwall in one day. Her next adventure as an expedition medic will be supporting a group up Kilimanjaro.
