Jude Kriwald is an explorer, filmmaker, adventure mentor and winner of British Exploring Society’s Leader of the Year Award.
Jude’s debut film, Alone Across Gola, takes the audience deep inside the Liberian rainforest as he attempts to retrace a lost track never before undertaken by bicycle.
In 2012 and aged just 19, Jude spent 13 months cycling and wild-camping his way from England to India. The expedition saw him camping in -31°C in the Pamirs in January, held up at gunpoint in Afghanistan, and sneaking past 30 military checkpoints in Tibet.
As the Basecamp Manager at the British Exploring Society, Jude helped lead 25 Young Explorers through a challenging but incredibly rewarding expedition to the Scottish Highlands. As part of this role, Jude successfully established the first solar-powered basecamp in the British Exploring Society’s 92 year history.
Jude is the founder of AdventureMentor.org, offering free adventure mentoring for people who are typically underrepresented in the world of adventure.
