Jonathan (Jon) Rhodes, a Chartered Psychologist (BPS), specialises in performance enhancement and motivation. His deep curiosity lies in exploring why some individuals and teams persevere with challenging goals while others falter. He believes the key may lie in how we imagine, shape a shared vision, and communicate our intentions.

As a lecturer at the University of Plymouth, Jon’s current research explores how explorers plan and excel in extreme, unpredictable environments. Drawing on 18 years of experience, he co-developed Functional Imagery Training (FIT), a science-backed technique featured in The Wall Street Journal and Harvard Business Review, shown to enhance resilience in Olympic athletes, military personnel, and top business leaders.

Jon is a co-founder of Imagery Coaching, an organisation focused on motivating and supporting individuals and teams to tackle tough goals, Jon blends imagery techniques with performance psychology to spark sustained success. His expertise in psychology has been showcased in podcasts like the BBC's Instant Genius, and in his book, The Choice Point, where he reveals how to master pivotal decision-making moments using imagery.
