Natural High Safaris are hosting an evening talk at the Society by the Deep Blue Crew about their recent 39-day trans-Atlantic crossing in the World's toughest row.

This is in aid of Tusk, for whom the Deep Blue Crew rowed to raise funds, which does incredible work across Africa to protect endangered species and reduce human-wildlife conflict.

    The Earth’s environment affects its civilizations in myriad ways, with prominent historical examples showing the connections between climate and social phenomena. Historian Peter Frankopan will discuss the intersections of geography, history, and science in conversation with the Society’s Cartographic Collections Manager, Katie Parker.
