Lucy Shepherd is a modern explorer whose philosophy 'connecting not conquering' redefines exploration for the 21st Century. Her ground breaking television debut Secret Amazon: into the wild was recently aired on Channel 4.

She will be in conversation with historian and adventurer Alex Bescoby at the Royal Geographical Society on Tuesday 25 February 2025. They will be talking about Lucy's many expeditions and her passion for protecting the environment.

She will detail the technical difficulties of filming while on expedition. She will share her experiences and insights of how involving communities leads to successful conservation efforts. Lucy aims to draw parallels between her previous expeditions and her role as Global Ambassador for Rhino Ark visiting their projects in Kenya.

You will have the opportunity to ask Lucy questions by submitting them with your booking or on the night in a Q&A session. You'll also have the chance to network with like-minded individuals and organizations who are passionate about preserving our environment for future generations.

Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to learn from one of the future voices of the new age of exploration and connect with others who share your passion for making a positive impact.
