Join us for this practical workshop which explores everything teachers need to know as they deliver fieldwork for the first time. There will be opportunities to practice a wide range of fieldwork techniques and to learn how to avoid the common pitfalls that students make in the field.

You will learn about the practical aspects of fieldwork planning as well as how to accommodate the needs of different learners.

This event is aimed at secondary geography teachers in the early stages of their career as well as non-specialist geography teachers who are looking to gain knowledge and confidence in this subject area. The session will initially be based at the Society with much of the day spent in the local area.
