Current or most recent role
Being a land referencer, I am responsible to for locating properties and any interests that are in the land. The work includes desktop studies, site visits, working with landowners/stakeholders, GIS and site mapping, access and CPO, and documentation support in referencing and consent of infrastructure projects; improving efficiency in accessing the information on tenure of land to support infrastructure development and regeneration.
Previous experience
I used to give evening sessions to students about the advantages of choosing geography as a career while I was a member of an NGO.
Why I want to become a professional ambassador
I decided to strive for being a Professional Ambassador of geography and GIS because I like what geography educators do, and the role of Spatial Data in problem-solving. My goal is to make more people value the necessity of geography and GIS, encourage the development of new approaches, unite like-minded professionals, and facilitate educational projects. To inspire people to pursue careers in this field and show where geospatial analysis can be applied practically as well as its benefits in different fields and its ability to produce change in the world, I will share some of my projects that were successful.
