I am a Chartered Geographer (FRGS) and Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) with 12+ years of GIS experience. I am an expert in spatial data management, analysis, and Python programming for national infrastructure and global fibre projects. I am skilled in deploying GIS solutions, developing workflows, and quality assurance. I also hold an MSc in Geographic Information Management.

Current or most recent role

I support the Cloud Interconnection and Acquisitions team with GIS expertise and mapping for fibre routing. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate GIS data, ensuring regional compliance, implementing quality control processes, conducting data reviews, and developing SOPs for data governance, all aligned with Microsoft Core Fibre Standards.

Previous experience

I actively mentor through One Million Mentors and the STEM Ambassadors programme, supporting young people and underrepresented groups. Through these initiatives, I provide career guidance, promote GIS and geography careers, conduct mock interviews, and encourage diversity in STEM fields by sharing insights, fostering skill development, and inspiring future talent.

Why I want to become a professional ambassador

I aspire to be a Professional Ambassador to inspire future GIS and geography professionals by sharing my experience and passion. I aim to promote the value of geography, highlight its diverse career opportunities, and mentor others to advance their skills and contributions to the field.
