About

I am an experienced geographer and engineer currently working in the environmental sector. I am a strong operations professional with a demonstrated history of working in both local government and the charity sector with a Bachelor's Degree in Geography from the University of Birmingham, a HNC in Civil Engineering from Coventry University and a Master’s Degree in Environmental Management with GIS from Ulster University.

Current or most recent role 

I am currently employed by the Environment Agency as a Senior Officer, working hard to protect the environment. I am in the Energy Team and specialise in the permitting of medium and large combustion plants, energy from waste and carbon capture plants. 

Previous experience

I have presented to colleagues and given Toolbox talks to volunteers.

Why I want to become a professional ambassador

I am a passionate geographer and want to share my expertise, knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject with the next generation. I want to inspire people so that they become geographers of the future.
